Dear Friends, Family and Interested...
I just want to say to everyone please, please, please forgive me for my absence from my blog and my web-site. I have my little son Corbin, even though he's 20 he will always be my little Corbin, working on the web-site as we speak...Listing all the items from the store, well not all, we have over 8,000 in here right now, but a lot of the best items will be listed to the web-site soon. I know a lot of you are going sure...Heard that before, but really, we are really serious and working on re-doing our site so those who live say as far as Texas can feel they walk into Old Town Temecula, right into Madison Manor and shop!! And as far as my blog my plan is to post at least weekly, so I can fill everyone in on all the current dirt and gossip going on at Madison Manor and the Walter's compound. With weekly post we can at least share most of the new items in the shop so even those who live close can decide whether they need to run in to get that Vintage item of their dreams that just landed in the store or if they can wait another week to spend their pennies. We have two storage units full of fabulous items so there really is no excuse for us to have great new items weekly, just that in the past I have had too much to do with the everyday store things to even get say two things tag and priced and on the floor. But we have solved that problem too, I have made my daughter Terryn a new co-owner!!Yahhhh...
Here are a few new photo's of the store, we have a variety of furnishings from France, gold gilded in the Louis XVI Style. That stunning chaise is on sale.
We have many gilded accesories too, and French Alencon lace under it all.
A French armoire, a pair of gilded chairs, a reproduced Swedish clock and even a Monique Lhuillier Wedding Gown.
A dressform covered in seashells has been in our store all most as long as we have been open, so it's really kinda of a mascott...Would be really sad if it sold, well not too sad. And a fab table also in seashells would look great in a bathroom with white fluffy towels under it. A reproduction cage doll wearing a crown that Terryn embellished.
A pair of gilded chairs upholstered in parts of an old satin wedding gown, and Italian stack tables also gilded. And those glittered roses are done by our really talented friends at Sweet Magnolias Farm, Sara and her Mom Abbey.
Can't believe that this library file cabinet is still here, it is perfect size for a coffee table and has a finished top. And this grey French scalloped table was going home with me but my family likes our table we have so it's back up for sale again. And what about that Louis Vuitton hard case, perfect too for a very chic side table, nightstand or sofa table, we have it's keys and it's in really fabulous shape...Do you know how much they are new? Almost 3 times what we have it priced for.
Just got the "Bed and Breakfast signs in again...Perfect for my house too. And my new thing is fresh flowers...Don't get them at home much, so I use them in the store for display and get to enjoy them all day....Tell my husband that my boyfriend sent all of them, that might get more flowers from him...Naughhhh
Those pillows are being sold as the pair, couldn't think of break'in them up...That is so my life!! And look at those slip covered chairs with the ruffles, too shabby. More flowers from my boyfriend. And a French decor store wouldn't be that with out a ton of Eiffel Towers.
And for all those who love that French Country red...We have your color.
And my new favorite decor color AQUA...Hurry cause it's my new living, kitchen and dining room color, can't believe there are any pieces in that color here, I want it all. Oh and it's Terryn's new color of decor too. You all should see her sweet house all decorated in Aqua. I'll sneak over there soon and snaps some picture for you all.
Love, love, yes love this Victorian settee, and those wicker covered wine bottles are too fun. That Italian side table is new, so new it still doesn't have a tag...Bet the tag stealer got it...Yes believe it or not we have a tag stealer, someone comes in our store oh about once or twice a month and pulls off as many tags as they can. We are forever replacing tags...Guess they think they would get a better price if it doesn't have a tag...But we've caught on and don't sell anything without a tag that we can't find in the computer.
Our chartreuse and brown section...Love those two colors together. And that wine bottle drying rack on the right is from France, spins, and is almost five feet tall. My sweet man bought it for me but too big for my kitchen. Tried it everywhere, but unless we were to put it in the bathroom and hang toilet paper on it, no go, gotta part with it.
Don't you just love that antique cornice made from a bed frame, all the moldings are original. Guess not the best picture, sorry.
And don't you just love cobalt blue with yellow? Just make you happy.
And this French grey cabinet is truly from France. All original and in pretty good shape for it's really old age. Wish I could say that.
One of these chairs is our most expensive and the other is our cheapest chair, yes cheapest...A really good bargain. Can you guess which is which? I'm sure that's not too hard, The Rococo chair was in our family for many years, we had no room for another chair (Chas says I have a chair problem) anyway it has no place so I re-upholstered it in the best brown toile, wish I would of got more of that great fabric...darn.
It's really kinda funny to hear people read...Or try to read this sign, some really don't get it...And it's right next to the counter, guess you would have to be there, but it's funny, trust me.
One of my fav things in the store, don't know why people don't love it too. You would think with all the wineries here in Temecula, one would of picked up this French wine storage bottle with it's metal cage, still has the original packing stuff too. Love it. And that statue of the girl pouring that vase out is really old, almost a marble type of material and it has tiny little shells in it. Complete with the acid rain touch, that's what Terryn calls all the worn statues, they have been touched by acid rain. No that's alot of years... that's what that is.
And this dress and coat just sold, well the dress at least...and not too soon, everyday when you go around the couner of the counter, that dress form just seems to look too much like a lady standing there and scares the ba gee bees out of you everytime, Terryn too. So we are glad a nice lady bought it for her daughters vintage style wedding this fall. Tired of my heart skipping a beat.
Our front table is dressed all in Lavender for the Easter Spring season and we'll have more pictures of that next week for you to enjoy...An excuse for you to come back. Have a fabulous week, and thanks for visiting our site/blog again...We will be better, promise.
